After photographing Erica & Michael’s proposal up in Charlevoix, Michigan, they invited me to come document their wedding in Downtown Chicago. Everything happened within a square mile so each of these places are so special to E&M.
For this sneak peek, I’m just gonna share a few bullet points of special moments from their big day:
-they enjoyed good bourbon & even better company with their favorite people from all over the map
-there was immense joy and great celebration backed by their Jewish heritage
-every time Erica’s grandma looked at her, she seemed to beam and be in awe of her granddaughter; family was central to E&M’s big day as they honored their heritage & traditions, family, moms & dads and siblings – and this couldn’t have been a more relaxed & kind bunch to serve
-they ate all the most good food ever! all. day. long. – this was another staple to their special day – from the tiny poke tacos & spicy chicken sliders at their welcome dinner to the crab legs and custom waffle fries with mini Berger sliders (a play on their new last name) on their wedding day, they were not disappointed
-these two love to have fun and be silly together, but they also know when to just enjoy being together and take in one another’s love
-even though the weather called for gusts of wind up to 40mph (thanks Windy City!), rain showers, and a tornado warning, the skies cleared and the wind seemed to calm just before their first look – they didn’t see another drop of rain all day long and even made it out to Adler Planetarium for a gorgeous view of the iconic Chicago skyline!
-along with their amazing live band, they even surprised their guests with a duet of their own 🙂
-E&M truly are Chicago’s Best Bergers
With that, enjoy this little sneak peek…
