Becca & Brandon’s wedding was by far one of the most unique weddings we’ve had the privilege to photograph. It wasn’t unique because of the details, but because of the people and the story.

Some backstory: Becca is from Korea, but was adopted into a family in Minnesota when she was young. However, she found her biological fam and has fostered a relationship with them over her lifetime. So there was a mashup of her biological family, her adoptive parents, and Brandon’s family along with their closest friends present to celebrate & support B&B! Needless to say, this made for some very emotional moments throughout the day and we hope we have given those moments justice in the images that follow.

Some things to know as you follow along: B&B wanted lots of candids of their closest people coming together, especially their 3 families, who were all coming together for the first time. They told us “we have 3 families who will be all together for the first time, and capturing their joy and sense of unity is very important to us”; it seemed this was too easy to document as all the families showed such love for one another all day! You will see lots of moments in these images, but several things that stood out to us on this day was Brandon’s comment on the car ride to Daylight Mind that he just realized his brother is his best friend, they have a dream to buy Becca’s adoptive parents home in MN (which Brandon wrote a poem about to her), Brandon doesn’t know how to tie a bow tie because he depends on Becca to do that for him #couplegoals which she did after they saw each other, and the little ring bearer & flower girl delayed the ceremony as the sat laid back in some chairs napping alongside the Pacific 🙂 Enjoy!
