When Jennifer and Chris got married eight years ago, “it was more out of necessity than love.” They were young, scared and expecting their first son, so they signed papers at the courthouse and didn’t celebrate their commitment with family or friends.
Fast forward a lot of life and two more beautiful boys later and the whole crew was at Turtle Bay, ready to do it “right.” Not that a wedding rests on the dress (which Jennifer got on clearance, holla!) or stuff, but marriage is worth a celebration. And these two deserved it more than anyone – they’d already put in the hard work of staying committed to each other and their three boys. So they eloped to Kualoa Ranch and had a small wedding with their 9 closest relatives. They kept it simple by getting ready in their condo at Turtle Bay, holding just their ceremony in Jurassic Valley, getting a few beautiful florals, and an intimate setup done.
If this day represented anything, it was this: beautiful things come out of hard places. Jenn & Chris, we’re so grateful you invited us along to help you remember it all – thanks for being true to yourselves!
