Ilima is from Oahu, but her and Chris live in Atlanta so they wanted to get married on her home island in front of her favorite backdrop. This happens to be one of the island’s most iconic spots, Kualoa Ranch – better known as Jurassic Park. They invited their closest friends and family to stand in front of Chinaman’s Hat and vowed the rest of their lives to each other.

Chris’s aunt was one their biggest supporters throughout their relationship so it was important for them to have her as a central part of their day as their officiant. She was in tears throughout the entire ceremony and you could tell how much she adored her nephew & new niece just by the way she looked at them.

As is custom in Hawai’i, they had some TATS Shave Ice brought in for people to cool down during the day. Overall, this was such a no-fuss, laid-back wedding – perfectly in sync with the aloha spirit of the islands. Watching two families come together as one is something to be celebrated and cherished and we hope you can feel that warmth and love in these photos.
