September: another month back in the Midwest for weddings and visiting family in between. This year has taught us a lot in that we’ll no longer be taking work back in the Midwest so that when we’re there we can just be with our families “full-time” and put work where it should go for those two weeks: on the back burner 🙂 In this month, we saw our niece, Kira, eating corn off the cob, visited our other niece, Ruby, at her home in Indiana for some 2 year old portraits(!!), took walks and pond days with our stud muffin nephew, crew, and waited for niece #3 (Lindy) to arrive in October. We even brought a rainbow with us from the Aloha state which settled right over our parent’s home on the farm (how appropriate of God), had an “oh baby” shower with the fam, tried golfing with the pops and brother, and watched eagles fly overhead with my uncle and aunt on their pontoon at Grand Lake. Then we visited our best friends in Grand Rapids for a little BBQ before being welcomed back home with an unreal sunrise from the Lord. Then it was hit the ground running and off to Maui to photograph a couple who’s wedding we photographed 2.5 years earlier and were expecting their first baby 🙂
