Lois is from Wales & Etu grew up on the Polynesian island of Tonga. They met at university in Hawaii – the story goes along these lines: Lois spotted Etu in the college cafeteria & whispered to her friend, “He looks like an angel carved out of wood!”
The rest, as they say, is history.
These two blended their cultural backgrounds to create a melting pot of a wedding day that honored both of their families’ traditions. Everyone rode canoes through the Polynesian Cultural Center to their ceremony site, where Lois’s family gave toasts. After taking portraits of the newly married E&L, we ended the night with a delicious Tongan feast & Etu’s sister performing the island’s traditional dances.
Their day was small, simple and filled with things that matter: love, joy and family.
