J&J, in their home. Exposed brick walls. Delicious smells coming from the bakery below. Even better food made by them inside. I got to eat supper with them, to be invited into their home & lives where the evening light hits hard in their office room while they watched the people & traffic below in Over the Rhine.
Probably one of the most beautiful and joyful couples I’ve ever met & photographed. Truly, these two were laughing together almost the entire time. And when I gave them a few minutes at the end of our time together to look at one another and think about how much they love each other, slow down, […]
Engagement sessions are an opportunity to get you comfortable in front of me and my camera but even more so to connect and hear more of your story, share my story, and foster a deeper trust with more than “our photographer”, but Reese – the [mostly] calm, fun guy that’s a dad of 4 under […]
She said “YES!” and we spent the next hour walking down to Alan Davis Beach where they had the whole place to themselves. The warm, golden sun was setting behind Koko Head, as the full moon was rising for the evening. It was a beautiful and special day in Hawaii as these two got ready to tie the knot 🙂
These two have only been together for 4 months, but they knew when they met, that they had found the one they were looking for and were ready to commit their lives to each other for the rest of their days 🙂
30 minutes turned into 20 hours – neither of us wanted the date to end, and Derek was just able to come up with the next great place to head over to. We met for coffee, then ice cream in the park, then a pool hall, then omakase, then a speakeasy, then just the streets of NYC walking and talking the night away.
Two of the most genuine and smitten people I’ve ever met! I didn’t even give them any cues to laugh as much as they did, they were just so happy and excited and filled with joy. They were 100% comfortable in their own skin and that’s why these images are amazing, because they were ok being themselves 🙂
Mandy was so shocked (& a little shy) that she covered her face with her hat to hide the tears and once Raymond told her I was there to photograph the moment, they both started laughing out loud. We spent the next hour together, descending the trail and then driving over to Waimanalo Beach for the rest of our time together. This was such a fun and sweet moment to witness, thanks Raymond & Mandy for inviting me into your lives 🙂
She reached out asking if they could go to Jurassic Park and then find a place to cliff jump at – I said “yes, please” haha. We ended up at Kualoa Ranch in front of Chinaman’s Hat and then jumped off at Laie Point. Dom was shaking and thinking a little too long, but eventually Pat convinced her to just go for it 🙂 They’re gonna make a great team! Congrats you two, so excited for you to tie the knot next October on Long Island 🙂
With the mountains reigning in the background, the blue ocean reflecting the puffy clouds and the cliff on which he would ask her to be his wife, this was exactly what Xavier had in mind when proposing on Oahu! He pulled it off, but not without a little speculation from Natasha (as all proposal stories go).
Tiff and Ryan wanted relaxed and genuine engagement photos that were “them” so they chose the place where Jurassic Park was filmed because they love the movies.
Liz and Ryan came to Oahu as part of their Amazing Life Together trip: a book compilation of 97 interviews with married couples from each of the 50 states. They made it to each state in one year and Hawaii was their last stop!
J&B enjoy the simple things in life, like grabbing a beer in Columbus, watching the sun set… and helping their dog Tybee drink from water fountains across the city, ha!
