If this day represented anything, it was this: beautiful things come out of hard places.
When Jenn contacted us about photographing this, her reason was simple: so their “three precious gifts could see and experience what love ought to be.”
The best part of this month was without a doubt sharing the news of little Baby K with our parents.
When we asked them what they were going to do to celebrate after, they said, “Get dinner! Something cheap!” Meaning musubis and ramen – cheers to that 🙂
Meet Duo, who planned proposing to Ru from his office in China down to the smallest detail of picking up a peony bouquet, her favorite. And Ru, who designed (!!!) her own blue silk dress and dabbed little sparkles by the corners of her eyes.
They’ve been married for only a year and had a little baby girl in that time so they wanted to re-dedicate their marriage and what it means to wake up every day and choose the person lying next to you. Love isn’t all unicorns, rainbows, and butterflies – no, it’s choosing and committing to the same person day after day, month after month and year after year.

Rajiv is the man, he managed to plan this entire proposal from New York and keep it a secret from Romee for about six weeks!
March was a fairly quiet (and rainy, rainy, rainy) month around here. Lots of waking up before the sun and lots of introspection. We both have the sense we’re being prepared for something, just not sure what. Guess time will tell 🙂
Just something to keep in mind when you’re seeing examples of everyone else’s “perfect” marriages and feel like yours doesn’t measure up.
It was a lot hotter than the weather they’re used to in Canada but nothing a napkin and a shirt change couldn’t fix for Justin, ha! We loved these two’s zest for life and adventure. The longer we were together the more relaxed and goofy they became as their true personalities shined through.
Life lately in Hawai’i: waking up to the roosters crowing and bull frogs croaking in our backyard before the sunrises, enjoying the 20 yard walk to the ocean to watch the morning wake up, climbing rocks and stuff on our weekly hikes, hanging with friends in the North Shore tide pools, snorkeling in the clear water, and spending whole days getting sunburnt in the big blue 🙂
